To the untrained eye the popular casino game of Roulette can appear to be deceptively artless, relying heavily on chance and luck rather than player skill. And, whilst it really is ultimately in the hands of chance whether or not you come away wealthier than when you first started, there are a variety of strategies for roulette one can use to increase their chances of a win.
Indeed, because Roulette is a game that relies so much on chance, most of the methods that people swear by when playing are designed with probabilities in mind. If you can increase the probability of a win then you are laughing, it is all about giving yourself the biggest chance possible after all. There are a variety of betting systems that people use when gambling on the Roulette wheel, let’s have a look at three of the most basic ones.
The Martingale Betting System
This is definitely one of the simplest betting systems out there, and whilst it can have a positive impact it is definitely one to be careful of. The Martingale method is aimed towards the immediate recuperation of losses when you are gambling. It works like this; for whatever bet you lose, the next one must be doubled – it therefore means that theoretically all losses can be made back, and then some.
Here is the thing though, Martingale can work excellently in the beginning, but go on a bad losing streak and you will be left very heavily in the red. It is never a good idea to chase your losses in the casino, and this strategy is very geared towards doing just that. The Martingale can be a nice introduction to Roulette gambling, but we would advise being very careful with it.
The Paroli Betting System
This is a method that is wholly geared towards aggressive gambling and the search for a truly monumental stack of cash. In many ways it is the complete opposite of the Martingale system, in that you increase your bet amount after each win, not loss.
So, for instance, you could win £30 on a successful Roulette spin, now the next bet should be something around the £50 mark. And on and on you go until your pockets are (hopefully) too heavy to walk. The Paroli method relies on a hot streak to really pay dividends, but it can be a fun one to try out from time to time; just make sure you have the finances.
The Chaotic Betting System
Look, hear us out on this one. On first glance a chaotic betting system sounds like a pretty bad thing to do if you want to win, but as science beings to grasp the concept more and more it can actually turn into a fairly decent tactic.
As the famous quote goes, “do what your heart tells you”. Follow your gut and place bets of any size according to what you think is really right. It either works or it doesn’t, but one thing you cannot deny is that this betting system is by far the most flexible and enjoyable.
